Starting her career in 2010, Sophie has worked as a womenswear designer for Burberry, Versace and Tom Ford and as a design consultant for a range of brands including Paul Smith, Savannah Miller, Jenny Packham and Reiss. She continues to consult for major fashion and jewellery brands, also supporting smaller brands who are starting out in the industry.

In 2015, merging a passion for vintage jewellery and a keen interest in business, she founded BAR Jewellery. BAR was founded on the principles of positive, ethical and sustainable practice which remain central to the brand today. The brand is now sold in stores such as Dover Street Market and Farfetch and is widely distributed across Japan’s biggest retailers, including Barneys, Beams and Tomorrowland. It has been featured in publications such as Vogue, Another, The Independent and worn by Meghan Markle and Emma Watson.

From design to production, managing online orders, web design, pricing, sales, PR and more, Sophie has a well-rounded knowledge of how to take an idea and develop it into a successful business. Without external funding, her passion and resourcefulness were the driving forces that allowed her business to go from strength to strength. Her varied experience allows her to appreciate first-hand the many challenges that businesses face, from the day to day issues to higher level strategy.
